Introductions

This is me...

and these are my instruments: from left to right, we have the smoker (Puff Magic), the gas grill (Ol' Faithful), and the Weber charcoal grill (The Forge)...

and finally my guide....

The basic idea is this: I've always been intimidated by charcaol grilling. I bought my new Weber recently, and have thoroughly ruined a couple of meals now. It has been discouraging, as I usually can hold my own in my kitchen. So I decided to use my newly found guide, and completely rip off an already existing concept...I will cook every recipe in this book and learn about charcaol grilling along the way. Think of it as Julie and Julia, but for dudes. Don't get me wrong, I loved the movie, own that cookbook, and have been teaching myself French cuisine, but that is not what this blog is about. This is about a man being man, cooking with fire, and sharing his experiences.
