My parents went away on a week's vacation....
Okay, so that dates me. The basic premise is this...I have always had a gas grill. Growing up as a child, my dad (a most excellent individual) used a gas grill, so that's what I always used. When The Bride and I bought a house, I got a gas grill. I know, I know, true BBQers and grillers will tell you that this isn't REAL grilling or BBQ. I enjoy my gas grill for its precision. Once I have figured out something, I know exactly what settings to use for that meal every time from then on. For example, for boneless, skinless chicken breasts, the knobs all get set just above medium, and it will be six minutes per side. This will work EVERY time. Thus, the way I look at it, using a gas grill is a science, using charcoal is an art. That is what this blog is about...me becoming an artist.
